It’s one of the most famous quotes of all time – “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind” – and it’s the centerpiece of our new campaign for the Twilight Zone: Deep Reefs Revealed exhibit at the California Academy of Sciences. The Armstrong family personally approved the audio clip’s usage, because, much like that walk on the moon, Academy scientists are boldly diving into a new frontier. Watch it here.

We’re pleased to announce a major new hire, Mike Wilson as Senior Art Director. An experienced creative director with roots in art direction and design, Mike was recruited from Indianapolis, where he helped lead some of the Midwest’s most respected ad agencies and design firms. With nearly 20 years in the industry, he has developed successful campaigns for BMW, Fifth Third Bank, hhgregg, USA Gymnastics, the Indiana Pacers, the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra and other top brands.

Mike will be an important part of our growing creative team, bringing an award-winning combination of strategy, technology and artistry. He will help lead the agency in conceptual art direction, as well as traditional and digital design for all clients.

Fun fact: Mike’s been playing hockey all his life, and in college was a goalie on the Indiana Hoosier hockey team. He even helped lead the Hoosiers to the NCAA national championship game in 1994 and 1998.

Our mission: To boldly go where no radio spot has gone before. Star Trek legend George Takei (Mr. Sulu) lends his distinctive voice and one-of-a-kind personality to the California Academy of Sciences’ newest original planetarium show, “Incoming!” He was the film’s narrator, and voiced our radio and digital campaign as well. George, in our humble opinion, if your voice were a Star Trek phaser, it’d be set to “stunning.”

Introducing the only waterslide of its kind in America! When Zoombezi Bay waterpark asked us to create the branding for their newest attraction we knew we needed something wild. The result: SoundSurfer, King of the Beats. Riders get to decide how they slide, choosing from 40 songs and light shows while they twist their way through 512 feet of awesomeness. TV, radio, print, digital and social are roaring all summer long.

We’re pleased to announce that WP Glimcher, a premier retail real estate brand with a portfolio of 118 shopping centers nationwide, has selected Ron Foth Advertising as their agency of record for media services. Our newest client owns and manages retail centers throughout the U.S., including enclosed regional malls, open-air lifestyle centers and community centers. As agency of record, we will develop a comprehensive media strategy and customized media plans for nearly 120 properties, covering 30 states and over 50 markets. The agency will handle all media planning and buying functions – including TV, radio, digital, social, out of home, print and direct mail – as well as creative development and production.

There was plenty of sand, sun and Safelite at the recent Safelite Challenge Triathlon in Las Vegas. While 50 mph gusts turned Vegas into the “Windy City,” our Fothie team biked and ran their way through the duathlon race. Thanks to our friends at Safelite AutoGlass for a great event, benefiting a great cause. Special congratulations to Matt Johnson for taking first place!
