To help us promote Batman’s upcoming appearance at the Columbus Zoo, we recruited another protector of the city: Columbus Mayor Michael Coleman. As part of our fun, tongue-in-cheek campaign, Mayor Coleman proclaimed that the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium was changing its name to the “Gotham City Zoo and Aquarium.” Here’s our Sr. Audio Engineer Doug Edwards recording the announcement for a series of radio spots. Rest assured citizens, the “name change” is just for the two weekends Batman will be there. Rumor has it the Zoo’s bats were thrilled — but the penguins were a bit nervous.
